Is Vanixa free?
Yes. Background removal and image compression are completely free, have no usage fees and need no account or sign-in.
Which browsers are supported?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Processing is faster in browsers with WebGPU; elsewhere the tool automatically switches to a lighter method.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes, to open the page and to download the background removal model the first time. Once the model is saved in your browser, processing happens on your device.
Privacy
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Your images are processed in your browser and never leave your device. They are cleared from memory when you close the page.
What information do you store?
Only your language and theme choice and the model version that works on your device are kept in your browser. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
