How to compress images, step by step
One photo or a whole folder: pick a target size and let Vanixa do the rest. Everything happens in your browser.
Choose a target size
Auto shrinks a file to about a tenth of its size. If you need to stay under a limit, choose 1 MB, 500 KB, 200 KB or 100 KB.
Upload an image or a folder
Drop a file on Single Image, or use Upload Folder to pick every image in a folder. PNG, JPG and WEBP are supported, up to 15 MB per file.
Wait for compression to finish
Images are processed one after another, on your device. For each file you see the old size, the new size and how much smaller it got.
Download
Download files one by one, or if there are several, use Download all as ZIP to get them in one go.
Troubleshooting
A file shows an error in the list
Only PNG, JPG and WEBP files up to 15 MB each are supported. Files outside these limits are marked as errors.
The result is bigger than I expected
Images that are already small or heavily compressed may not shrink much further. Choose a smaller target and try again.
The ZIP button is disabled
The button turns on once every file is done. If the ZIP cannot be created, you can still download files one by one.
